Jill Landesberg-Boyle's Bio

Jill Boyle has an extensive background spanning over fifteen years in the field of higher education. She has spent the majority of her professional life in the field of student affairs before ascending to the presidency. She has instructed university courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. With a scholarly background in Organizational Development and Applied Group Studies, she has particular expertise in strategic planning, change processes, fundraising, and team building. Her professional life has provided her a wealth of experience and skill in legislative advocacy, enrollment management, institutional advancement, student retention, regulatory compliance, and fiscal management. In addition to featured publications in professional periodicals, she has been an invited speaker at the National Higher Education Law Conference, the Annual National Inter-fraternity Luncheon, and numerous regional and state conferences.

Workforce Development - A Community College Mission

Workforce development is a key mission for community colleges and Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle knew this. In the first year of her presidency she forged a number of partnerships and bolstered other programs With the recent focus on community college from President Obama part of the community college mission has been validated as a critical element in our economic recovery. President Obama plans to send $12 billion over the next 10 years, because of the role they play in retraining unemployed works for new careers.

Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle partnered with Florida Keys Lodging Association to offer hospitably classes to the industry. She brought in a partnership with Raytheon Technical Services Company to support TSA's screening program. FKCC provided training space, administrative offices and testing services. Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle also secured an articulation agreement with Hodges University to provide a bachelors program for FKCC graduates. In additive to the partnerships, she bolstered other area's including working with the State Board for an additional 40 seats for the nursing programing, adding a Captains Course offered in two locations and On-site testing options and adding a new program to offer an alternative certification route for those who wish to become teachers.

The Keys Center Honors Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle



Students representing The Keys Center (formerly PACE) presented an award for "excellence" to Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle.

The students wanted to formally recognize and thank Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle for her devotion and support for the The Keys Center program, whish is located on FKCC's Key West campus. Each student spoke about her experiences while attending the the Keys Center at FKCC and what it has meant to have the support of college president Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle, as well as, the positive experiences of being able to attend classes in a collegiate atmosphere.

Keys Center student Jessica, summed up the girls feelings when she stated that, "Since Pace closed, Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle has given us a second home at FKCC."

Community Service, FKCC, and Diveheart



Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle working with Bill Chalfant were introduced to Diveheart through the Diving Equipment and Marketing Association (DEMA). It was clear that a partnership between Diveheart and FKCC would be a win for both organizations and the community.

The college faculty and staff have worked with Diveheart to introduce divers with disabilities, particularly wounded veterans, to FKCC diving course curriculum, such as underwater archeology and coral reef restoration.

Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle is very supportive of Diveheart and it's mission. She is proud to be associated with Diveheart through FKCC.
